This 2021 Thundersport GB season has flown by, and this weekend, Cadwell Park hosts the last deciding races of the championships.
We have been delighted to sponsor Alex Mann this season. We have followed his progress closely as he rose through the rankings to second place, just 23 points behind the leader.
Round 1 at Snetterton was a tough start for Alex after a crash in free practice, but he still managed a podium finish in all 4 races, with three 3rd places and a 2nd place.
Round 2 at Cadwell Park and Alex continued to rack up the points with more podium finishes, achieving 3 more 3rd place finishes and a second-place finish.
Round 3 was at Mallory Park and not without drama. Alex managed 2 third place finishes and a second-place finish before a fuel issue prevented him starting the 4th race.
Round 4 at Donnington Park was a success after some big improvements to Alex’s bike. Leaving his competitors in the dust, Alex won every race and jumped to the top of the championship leader board with three 2nd places and a first place.
Round 5 in Anglesey started well with two second place finishes, but a crash ended his third race early and unfortunate mechanical issues left him in 6th place, costing him big points.
Round 6 was at Oulton Park and some great practice sessions gave him the advantage he needed to win both races in this round.
As it stands, Alex is in second place on the championship leader board and is within reach of the title.
Round 7 is back at this weekend and is for double points. We would like to wish Alex all the best for this weekend and will be rooting for him in his last few races.
