Last month, we were delighted to welcome a Year 10 Student from Sponne School for her one week work experience placement.
Sasha had the opportunity to explore all departments within the company. She started off her week at our Banbury showroom and spent the remainder of her week in Northampton; at our jewellery and watch workshops and web team.
This is what she had to say about her time spent with us:

My Time at Michael Jones Jewellers
For the week commencing Monday 11th July until Friday 15th July, I spent my work experience at Michael Jones Jewellers. I was based in 2 of the 3 stores: Banbury and Gold Street. I have thoroughly enjoyed my week here and was able to learn about many different aspects of the business. This ranged from the shop floor where I saw the excellent service brought to customers to designing and creating a pendant from scratch in the jewellery workshop and thereafter, taking creative lifestyle imagery in the Web Team. It has most definitely brought my understanding of the workings of a business, especially this one to a higher level.

Sasha had the chance to design and make her own pendant in the jewellery room and took some magnificent photographs of it with the assistance of the Web Team. She picked various props and backgrounds so that she could comfortably explore her creativity. Pictured below are some of her lovely shots!
