| The Bremont S500 Bamford Special Edition represents an exciting fusion of British design from Bremont and Bamford Watch Department. The collaboration was born out of a long-standing friendship between Bremont Co-Founders Nick and Giles English and George Bamford, as well as a mutual respect and admiration for each other’s craft. |

The resulting Special Edition, limited to just 250 pieces, represents a distinct twist on Bremont’s signature Supermarine S500, combining Bamford’s passion for vibrant lume and DLC finish with Bremont’s tactical and notoriously robust diving range. The DLC finish is beautifully contrasted with the ‘California Blue’ Super-LumiNova® across the newly styled hands and indexes, befitting for its California dial, a design first for both Bremont and Bamford. The highly legible dial is enhanced by increased luminosity as a result of its ‘layered dial’ construction. Instead of a single plate, a layered dial is comprised of a solid disc of luminous material which is covered with a plate with index apertures to expose the lume as characters. This layered design achieves incredible lume performance and adds a lovely visual depth to the dial. The extensive use of black DLC, uniquely accented with blue, marks this timepiece as an unmistakable Bamford collaboration. |
| George Bamford, Bamford Watch Dept comments, “I have known Nick and Giles for a while now and we became firm friends when I was moving into my Mayfair ‘Hive’ office 7 years ago and they were parking a very cool Jaguar in a car park opposite. I always said we should do something together and this project feels so right. Our signature black with a raised ceramic bezel and unique arrow hand, as well as the California dial, work so well on one of their iconic watches. I love the California dial and the integration of two styles. I feel it represents the blend of two British brands working together. Also using what feels like a military blue, it emulates the crossover and bringing together of Bamford Watch Department and Bremont.” |  |

The 43mm S500 was first introduced into Bremont’s collection in 2009 as the brand’s first mechanical dive watch. Designed to not only be incredibly tough but also beautifully engineered and entirely fit for purpose. The range was named as a tribute to the founders’ love of the iconic British aircraft manufacturer responsible for the Supermarine S6B Schneider Trophy Seaplane and of course the incredible Supermarine Spitfire. For this reason, an etching of the Supermarine Seaplane can be seen on the closed case back of the new Bremont S500 Bamford. True to all Bremont S500s, this high-performance dive watch is water resistant to 500m. The timepiece features Bremont’s signature Trip-Tick case construction which houses the Modified Calibre BE-36AE. The vibrant California Blue extends to the stitching of its black sailcloth strap. Bremont Co-Founder Nick English adds, “The S500 Supermarine is an icon of our brand and it’s been hugely exciting collaborating with George to produce this special edition. Projects such as this provide so much design inspiration and it’s been an incredibly natural process with George sharing so many of the same interests, from aviation to automobiles and vintage military timepieces.
