LONGINES CONQUEST HERITAGE

Longines unveils a limited edition CONQUEST HERITAGE to celebrate the Lunar New Year of the Snake

As we approach the Year of the Wood Snake in 2025, Longines is proud to present a special edition of its CONQUEST HERITAGE model. Renowned Chinese artist Wu Jian'an was invited to create a unique design featuring a mystical snake holding a Lingzhi mushroom in its mouth, intricately engraved on the case back. In East Asian culture, the snake symbolizes elegance, wisdom and transformation. Known for its intuition and resilience, the snake also symbolizes rebirth and encourages reflection and personal growth. Limited to 2 025 pieces, the CONQUEST HERITAGE YEAR OF THE SNAKE features a gradient red dial accentuated by the collection's signature gilt hands and indexes.

Longines CONQUEST HERITAGE 2025

The snake holds a significant place in East Asian culture, symbolising wisdom, rebirth and infinite vitality. It represents hope for a bright future. In honour of the lunar Year of the Snake, Longines has collaborated with Chinese artist Wu Jian'an to reinterpret the story of ‘Stealing the Immortal Herb’ from the famous Chinese tale ‘The Legend of the White Snake’. Wu's design, titled ‘Divine Snake Presents Treasure’, combines the depth of East Asian cultural heritage with a contemporary artistic expression. The emblem depicts a snake clutching a Lingzhi mushroom, its form spiralling into concentric circles, evoking ripples that symbolise the passage of time and the continuity of life.
The ‘Divine Snake Presents Treasure’ emblem conveys wishes for harmony and prosperity, while also reflecting Longines’ commitment to blending tradition with innovation. This cultural fusion highlights the brand’s dedication to craftsmanship while embracing modern creativity.

In celebration of the Year of the Wood Snake, Longines has engraved this unique design on the back of a special Conquest Heritage model, limited to 2 025 pieces.
Evoking a spirit of daring and creativity, the Conquest collection became the first Longines watch line to have its name trademarked in 1954. Celebrating the first Conquest models, the Conquest Heritage line appeals to all lovers of vintage design, effortlessly blending the classic style of the 1950s with modern watchmaking technology. The new Conquest Heritage Year of the Snake honours this legacy while incorporating traditional East Asian elements.

The watch features a 40 mm stainless steel case with an angled screwed-down case back, engraved with a unique snake motif symbolising good fortune. Its vibrant sunray gradient red domed dial is adorned with gilt hands and indexes, creating a dazzling display that perfectly complements moments of New Year celebration and reunion. The Conquest Heritage Year of the Snake is powered by the exclusive Longines L888.5 calibre, equipped with a silicon balance-spring and innovative components that ensure a magnetic resistance ten times greater than the ISO 764 reference standard. This mechanical self-winding movement has a power reserve of up to 72 hours.
Bringing a touch of sophistication and elegance to the Year of the Snake, this limited edition watch comes with a black leather strap.
